| about me… I am… a woman, navy wife, navy brat, 34 year-old mother of 2 funny kids, a former teacher, SAHM, lover of laughter, books, and all things musical. I rely on sarcasm, humor and prayer to cope with the military lifestyle and maintain my own identity. I have over 30 years of experience with Navy way of life...20+ years were spent as a Navy brat and the past 12 have been spent as a Navy spouse. And yes...I did swear I would never marry anybody in the military, but what can I say? I absolutely adore him. We have been through a lot together…good and bad, and I truly could not imagine spending my life with anyone else. My 11 year old daughter is a typical drama queen with a sweet heart, and my 4 year old son is a complete master of chaos who can melt your heart in a second. It can get quite interesting around here and sometimes downright chaotic...what with hubby's work/travel schedule, deployments, moving, the little man's food allergies, my autoimmune problems, hypothyroidism, neurocardiogenic syncope...blah, blah, blah...all the specialist appointments, as well as the usual hodgepodge of events. Nothing to do but put one foot in front of the other, press on, and pray. My journal is public, so I refrain from using any real names here and you will rarely see me posting any pics (If I do, they are always friends-only posts). What you will find, if you stick around, is me just being honestly me. I write about anything and everything. I try to read my friends list entries daily...and like to take the time to get to know each person on my list. Feel free to express yourself in response to my posts. I am trusting that if you don't have something nice to say, you just won't say it in the first place. Just be careful if you add yourself to my friends list...you may end up in my novel. Anyhow, this is my life.
